Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Cindy moved to Houston, Texas where she met her husband, Ken. Both Cindy & Ken's love for the ocean & surfing soon brought them to the beach town of Encinitas, California. She spent most of her time at the beach, in the ocean surfing and knee-boarding while working at a local surf shop.
Growing up with a Texan heart and now living a California lifestyle, Cindy’s artistry blends her love of the western & coastal cultures making each design intricately unique.
Her personal favorites are constantly changing with her latest designs, although some stay on longer than others. Many being her 14k gold pieces for the irresistible sparkle!
Cindy first drew inspiration from her son with his love of surfing & music. Specifically, music genres that have distinct styles of their own that shared her love of mixing leather & metal.
Nine years later, learning and applying the various techniques, Cindy has curated her own unique line with an eye for style, design, and quality. It is the detail that separates CJK Jewelry from the rest, as well as her high standards of craftsmanship so you can love & enjoy your jewelry for years to come.

Hi I'm Megan! I am a native Californian now living in Oregon. I began working with Cindy in 2012 while in college and after graduating, I never imagined I would find myself attending the Gemological Institute of America to become a jeweler.
I have always loved jewelry, wearing maybe one-to-many rings on my fingers as a young girl, but learning from Cindy was really where I fell in love with the many facets of creating jewelry and the industry.
Cindy has been my inspiration, jewelry muse, best friend, and now I'm so happy to call my mother-in-law. Although Cindy took a step back to enjoy more time with her husband and two frenchies, Mabel and Nelly, I knew CJK was something special. So when I moved to Oregon in 2017 with her son, Simon, I set up my own little studio to call home and the rest is history.
I hope to bring a little blend of Cindy's western roots, our shared love of coastal California, and the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest into our jewelry designs. Every piece is a unique creation inspired by these beautiful parts of the world to work with natural materials, ethically sourced gemstones, and recycled metals, to create a refined, organic style that becomes a part of you.
Above all, we believe in the highest standards of craftsmanship and are dedicated to keeping the line affordable and locally produced.
